Events

The Writing Center hosts free events to help you explore, enjoy and expand how we express ourselves academically, argumentatively, and aesthetically - all while reaffirming writing as a social activity. Our events are free and open to all members of UHCL (students, faculty, staff, and alumni).

Writing Workshops

Our creative and academic writing workshops are relaxed, group settings to work on writing activities related to a particular theme, such as "Fantasy Worldbuilding," "Writing for the Sciences," or "Poetry & Music." Some workshops may be offered in several sessions, while others may be a one-time event. We offer most workshops on campus during the week, but we may occasionally offer a weekend workshop, or a session with an online option.

All workshops are free and open to the Clear Lake community, so feel free to bring a friend! No registration is required, unless otherwise noted. Contact the Writing Center for more information.
