SLICE Leadership Workshop Series: Servant Leadership

The Student Leadership, Involvement and Community Engagement (SLICE) program develops leadership potential and self-efficacy in all students, preparing today's students to lead and serve in tomorrow's global communities. Our leadership workshops are designed to give students a chance to explore difference concepts of leadership in and interactive way. Each semester, participants can chose from a variety of workshops that cover different topics of leadership. All workshops are held in the SSCB Student Orgs Room.

Servant Leadership
Friday, November 2, 1-3 p.m.
Presenter: Patrick Cardenas
Description: What is servant leadership and why is it so important? Come learn answers to these questions and how you can practice servant leadership on a daily basis.

What’s Your Brand?
Wednesday, November 7, 5 - 7 p.m.
Presenter: Angie Montelongo
Description: How do you present yourself as a student leader?

Leadership Through Community Engagement
Thursday, November 29, 4 - 6 p.m.
Presenter: Patrick Cardenas
Description: Community engagement is an important aspect of leadership. This workshop will cover definitions of service learning and volunteering, and the positive affects they have on your leadership style.

Holistic Wellness and Its Impact on Leadership
Tuesday, December 4, 5-7 p.m.
Presenter: Brian Mills
Description: Learn more about the connection between holistic wellness and leadership potential.

SLICE programs are open to all UHCL students and staff, regardless of affiliation with existing leadership programs, organizations and activities.
