Common Reader Program: Women and Education Policy
The Common Reader Program, in collaboration with the Women's and Gender Studies Program, is offering this panel discussion featuring Anne Sung, HISD Board Member, District VII; Morgan Craven, IDRA national director of policy, Advocacy and Community Engagement; and Yael Ross, director of the Center for New American Children, Children at Risk. The discussion will be held on:
Thursday, March 4
The panel will be moderated by UHCL faculty member Win Weber. UHCL’s Common Reader Program aims to foster critical thinking and discussion around important social concepts such as race, gender, class and citizenship. A committee of students and employees select the text that is studied throughout the academic year and plan events inspired by it.
