Local and Global: UHCL's Exhibition of Taller de Gráfica Popular Prints
This session will provide an introduction to the World War II-era political prints of Mexico City's Taller de Gráfica Popular (People's Graphic Workshop, or TGP), some of which will be exhibited in the UHCL Art Gallery during the 2020-2021 academic year. We'll talk about the contexts in which these prints were created, the local and global issues they sought to address, and the ways in which these works of art resonate deeply with our local community and the current political moment. Finally, you'll be invited to lend your own voices and interpretations to a community-created exhibition.

This event is part of UHCL's Friday Morning Continuing Education Program. Be sure to access the full fall schedule, and register today!
