You, Me, and Community: How Social Conditions Affect Your
Recent events have shown us that an apple a day doesn’t keep the doctor away. We know that how healthy we are is a bit more than just what we eat. In fact, it’s impacted by a LOT more than just our genetics and individual actions. What our community looks like, what region we live in, what society deems important, and who leads businesses and our government significantly affect how healthy we are. In this event, engage with UHCL faculty across the colleges about how community structure, geography, society shape not only your individual health, but public health: the health of all of us.
