Read & Reflect Book Club
The Read & Reflect Book Club, jointly hosted by Neumann Library and the Office of Student Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, is an informal and flexible book club open to all UHCL students, faculty, staff and alumni. Rather than focusing our attention on any one book in particular, each participant will read a book on the theme in order to open the conversation to far more perspectives than any one book allows.
Wednesday, Sept. 23
Noon to 1 p.m.
The Read & Reflect book club will focus on exploring themes of diversity, equity, inclusion, and racial justice to provide a relevant and timely avenue for discussion about the systemic racism impacting Black communities.
Choose any book that explores a different perspective, either in terms of race, gender, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, ability or other difference. The book can be fiction or nonfiction, at any reading level.
For more information, book suggestions and registration, visit the read and reflect library page.
