Clothes Line Project
UHCL, in collaboration with Bay Area Turning Point, is pleased to introduce The Clothesline Project to campus. This project is an organization created to bring awareness to the issue of domestic violence by giving the victims an opportunity to express themselves by decorating a T-shirt with specific colors. Each color represents a certain form of abuse. The decorated shirts are then publicly displayed on clotheslines to serve as a memorial for victims and to honor the survivors.
During the week of Sept. 27, students were able to decorate and drop off their T-shirts. In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the shirts will be on display on:
